MEET THE LNS TEAM
LUISA LIGNAROLO
Luisa Lignarolo is the co-founder and co-owner of LnS Gallery. Having studied at the University of Miami and later graduating magna cum laude with her B.A. in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from Florida International University, Luisa completed her thesis on Remedios Varo and her contribution as a female artist within the Surrealist movement. In 2003, she went on to work in the Miami gallery industry as an art consultant assisting private collectors, museums, and institutions in the development of their collections before opening LnS Gallery with her partner Sergio Cernuda in 2017. Luisa has over twenty years of experience of curatorial practice and research-based writing. She has devoted her time and creativity in graphic design for each exhibition catalogue and journal that is produced through the gallery, making each one a unique publication that reflects the heart of the artist and their exhibition. Luisa serves on the International Women’s Committee at the Pérez Art Museum Miami.
SERGIO CERNUDA
Sergio Cernuda is the director of LnS Gallery, specializing in Contemporary art with a focus on Miami-based artists. His interest and education in the arts originates from childhood. Following his studies in Communications at Loyola University, he returned to his native Miami in 2000, where he joined the family gallery for over fifteen years. He has devoted himself to providing premiere art consultation services and guidance in International, Cuban and Latin American art for private and public collections, leading him to establish his own gallery space, LnS Gallery, in 2017. Sergio served on the Board of Directors of the Fine Art Dealers Association and as an advisor on the board of the CINTAS Foundation, and has organized a number of panel discussions and artist talks through the gallery to create a lasting permanence to every artist and exhibition that is represented and showcased.
SOFIA GUERRA
Sofia Guerra works as an associate and artist liaison at LnS Gallery, where she brings her expertise and fascination for the power of documentation of the arts to the gallery program. She has aided the curatorial process behind numerous focus projects and installations within the space, bringing her awe for the research of art history to the written wall texts and presentations that supplement the contemporary works on view. She is also an independent curator and writer based in Miami, where she is the assistant to Melissa Diaz, Cultural Arts Curator of the Deering Estate, completing field research with artists through hikes exploring the untouched landscape of the property. Sofia graduated magna cum laude in Spring 2020 from the Honors College at Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, focusing on the Enlightenment period, accompanied by a minor in World Religions.
