A founding member of the influential Los Carpinteros collective, Arrechea’s early career was defined by collaborative experimentation and a meticulous approach to metamorphosing ordinary objects into extraordinary art. Since embarking on his solo career in 2003, Arrechea has garnered international recognition for his monumental installations and public sculptures that invite viewers to reconsider the familiar and question our perceptions.
